From The Holy Bible
1Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
How can I welcome correction when it hurts? (12:1)
Swallowing our pride and choking down the hard truth about ourselves is never easy. But the wise person will sift through the chaff for the grain of truth. Being able to accept criticism is a sure sign of a growing, emotionally healthy person. 8A man is praised according to his wisdom, but men with warped minds are despised.

9Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.
Should I think of myself as a nobody?
The advice is to accept ourselves as we are, giving up the charade of trying to pretend we’re something we’re not. Living within our means is better than spending what we don’t have and ending up financially strapped. 15The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.
How can I make a wise decision? (12:15)
Wise decisions flow from a reservoir of spiritual wisdom: they are made by wise people – those who honor and fear God (1:7, 2:6). Nevertheless, Proverbs outlines certain principles that characterize the choices made by wise people: Wise decisions are made with the advice and instruction of others (9:9; 11:14). They stem from a life of discipline and obedience (10:8; 29:11). Some of the basic qualities that help shape wise decisions include peace, humility and a conciliatory attitude (10:19; 11:2; 16:14). 23A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the heart of fools blurts out folly.
Is it best to just always keep quiet? (12:23)
