The PolyPit DuckHut duck pit blind is constructed primarily of welded-seam polyethylene. The welded-seam body is leak proof, rust proof, and decay proof, consistent with the properties of polyethylene. Other major parts are also built from polyethylene. Due to construction characteristics, this blind is designed for semi-permanent or permanent installation and long life.
Due to considerations involving, primarily, shipping costs, pit-blind sales/offerings have been suspended. The current designs are large and heavy, and shipping costs are excessive. Pit blinds will no longer be offered, and we will concentrate on sales of game feeders offered at the above left-column link. However, since we have useful information on the site for installation of blinds, from any source, the information about the blinds will remain on the site. I've been in the polyethylene business for more than 10 years, and have extensive experience in construction processes and techniques with various forms of this material. This experience has led me to develop what I feel is the "new age of pit blind building." The durability and strength of the material outperforms other pit blind materials. No more anti-rust paints. No more frayed fibers. No more rotted materials or blinds to replace. However, as explained in the previous column, excessive shipping costs for the current design necessitates suspension of sales until a viable alternative can be determined. We will, instead, concentrate on game feeder construction and sales.
